The “European Project of Ocean Acidification” (EPOCA) is the EU initiative to investigate “Ocean acidification and its consequences”. The kick off meeting took place in Nice (France) on 10-13 June 2008.

The overall goal of EPOCA is to fill the numerous gaps in our understanding of the effects and implications of ocean acidification. The project comprises 16 work packages.
