Andrea Pasini, from  the IBDM (Institut de Biologie du Developpement de Marseille) will give a seminar June 12.

Prof Michael Schmitt will speak about Willi Henning, who is considered the founder of phylogenetic systematics, also known as cladistics.

The seminar of Uli Technau (University of Vienna, Austria) is going to take place June 5. The title is going to be: "Principles of transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene regulation in the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis” (photo Department of Molecular Evolution and Development)

Climate change scientists have known for years that rising temperatures affect sea creatures, from the biggest fish to the microscopic plankton at the base of the ocean food chain. Now, a four-year expedition that sampled microbes from across the world’s oceans is bringing the mechanisms of that change into focus.

Le réseau André Picard, financé par l’Idex SUPER, a pour but de fédérer les équipes de Sorbonne Universités travaillant autour de  la discipline « biologie du développement ». Il permet également la mise en réseau  des sites géographiques éloignés (Campus de Jussieu à Paris, et les stations marines de l’université à Roscoff, Banyuls-sur-Mer et Villefranche-sur-Mer).

Jérôme Mutterer (institut de biologie des plantes , Strasbourg), créateur du plugin d'ImageJ "FigureJ" propose de nous faire une courte présentation sur l'usage de l'outil FigureJ (45 mn) le mercredi 3 Avril.
Il s'agit d'un outil permettant la mise en page de vos images sur une planche en vue de publication.
