I am Maître de Conférences (i.e. Associate Professor) in the Ocean Observatory of Villefranche-sur-Mer, in Southern France. I study physical-biological interactions in the open ocean and, in particular, how the behaviour of the organisms influences those interactions. I have been largely focussing on the larval phase of fish so far, but I am also working on the “planktonic” community as a whole. I use modelling, data collection, and experiments to answer my questions. I teach marine ecology, behavioural ecology, and a lot of statistics.

The Editions Universitaires Européennes were kind enough to publish it as a paperback book under the title “Behavioural approach to larval dispersal in the ocean — The journey of a coral reef fish larva”. It is a slightly improved and corrected version, still bilingual (introduction and conclusion in French, chapters in English), and available for purchase on Amazon.com or Amazon.fr for example.
